2024 National Chapter of the Year

Congratulations to the Temple High School Chapter of the National History Club which is one of only six clubs named a national Chapter of the Year for 2024. This is their fourth consecutive recognition. Students participate in events such as Japan Fest, deep diving with Civil War artifacts from the American Battlefield trust, a Civil Rights trip to Selma, Montgomery and Birmingham and organize local events such as the annual Student Vet connect and 9/11 programs.

The National History Club inspires students and teachers to start History Club chapters at high schools, middle schools, and within other student and community programs. Members of local History Club chapters participate in local and national programs, and create their own projects and activities. The NHC also provides chapters with resources and services that will help them increase the activity and impact of their History Club. To date, over 550 History Club chapters at high schools and middle schools in 44 states have joined the NHC, and there are over 16,000 student members.
