Congratulations to five individual Carroll County student athletes, one coach and Temple High School for their recognition as West Georgia regional winners by Positive Athlete Georgia.
Emma Staudigl from Bowdon High School won for Swim/Dive. Chancie Powers-Benefield from Central High School won for Girls Basketball. Cesar Velanquez/Morales from Mount Zion High School won for Boys Cross Country. Reece Holloway from Temple High School won for Baseball, and John Garner from THS won for Boys Coach. Gracie Jay Sauls from Villa Rica High School won for Cheer/Gymnastics.
Temple High School was named Most Positive School in West Georgia.

The Positive Athlete organization celebrates young athletes who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person.
