Carroll County Schools

Carroll County Schools crowned its annual District Spelling Bee champions January 5 at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. Eighteen students from Carroll County elementary and middle schools participated in the event. Connor Basant, an eighth-grade student from Temple Middle School earned first place and Roopville Elementary School fifth grader Emma Ryan Browning was runner-up.  By winning first place in the District Spelling Bee, Basant is eligible to compete in the Georgia Association of Educators Region Spelling Bee, the winner of which will advance to the state bee. Congratulations to Connor and Emma Ryan!
