Carroll County Schools

Six Carroll County elementary schools and three Carroll County middle schools have been named Best Schools by U.S. News and World Report and are eligible to display the Best Elementary School or Best Middle School badge. Schools on both lists represent the top 40 percent of elementary or middle schools in Georgia. Making the elementary list are Ithica Elementary, Central Elementary, Roopville Elementary, Mount Zion Elementary, Whitesburg Elementary and Glanton-Hindsman Elementary. Making the middle school list are Central Middle, Bowdon Middle and Bay Springs Middle. High schools are ranked separately with differing criteria and were announced in August, with all five Carroll County high schools making that list.
