Mount Zion Cluster Hosts Annual Celebration Night

The Mount Zion Cluster hosted its annual Celebration Night on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Mount Zion families, board members, district leaders, administrators, faculty and staff attended the event. Mount Zion administrators gave a presentation regarding student achievement in academics, arts and activities. Board member, Donald Nixon, shared information about the new Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. Mount Zion students were highlighted throughout the one-hour program. A group of elementary students led the crowd in the pledge of allegiance, Sarah Collins and Alyssa Williamson, shared their experiences in College and Career and Dual Enrollment opportunities. Alie Maxwell and Brooke Brown, sang two inspirational songs acapella. The program concluded with students demonstrating their robotics skills they have learned in the STEM programs offered in the Mount Zion Cluster. Mount Zion High School was recently named one of America’s Best High Schools by U.S. News and World Report.
