Carroll County Names District Director of Partnerships and Communication

During the Thursday, January 26, 2017 board meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education approved Mrs. Charity Aaron as the new Director of Partnerships and Communication.

Mrs. Aaron will manage and oversee the public relations, marketing, branding and community events for the district. She will also serve as director of the new Carroll County Performing Arts Center that will open in spring of 2017.

Mrs. Aaron brings with her more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, corporate communication and event planning. Prior to joining Carroll County Schools, Mrs. Aaron owned a marketing consulting firm. She began her career with West Georgia National Bank as a Marketing Manager and later became Vice President, Director of Marketing for Community and Southern Bank. During her banking career, Mrs. Aaron gained experience in  business development, creating brand and marketing strategies, writing communication pieces and planning numerous corporate and community events throughout the bank’s market area.

Mrs. Aaron has also volunteered for several civic clubs and organizations including the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation of West Georgia, March of Dimes and the Georgia Bankers Association.

She is a graduate of the University of West Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Business Management.

Superintendent Scott Cowart stated, “Mrs. Aaron brings a wealth of experience to Carroll County Schools. Her skills in communication, building partnerships and planning for major events will help our district as we strive to provide all stakeholders with premier opportunities.”

Mrs. Aaron is a long-time resident of Carroll County and resides in Carrollton with her husband, Mike and their daughter, Anne Camille.
