Bowdon Cluster Hosts Annual Celebration Night

The Bowdon Cluster hosted their annual Cluster Celebration Night on Monday, August 28, 2017. Bowdon families, board members, district leaders, administrators, faculty, and staff were all in attendance. Throughout the night, Bowdon students were recognized for achievements in academics, arts, and activities. The celebration opened with the pledge of allegiance led by students Emma Staudigl, Sydney North, and Kenny Bearden, followed by Dr. Karen Strickland giving a welcoming address. Bowdon High School Principal, Zoe Evans spoke about the Tradition of Excellence that is held by the community of students and faculty within the Bowdon Cluster. Band Ensemble including Maggie Crawford, Jenna Daniel, and Abigail Hart performed two songs showcasing their musical talents for the audience.  The event was centered around the theme of Small Schools, Big Opportunities. Bowdon High School students, Marlo Eidson and Mason Duffie, shared their personal experiences of opportunities made available to them through their small school community. The evening ended with closing remarks made by Bowdon High School Principal, Zoe Evans.
