Bowdon High School sophomore Averi Lowen has won her second consecutive state title in girls cross country. With a time of 17:52.46, Lowen beat her freshman state championship time by over two minutes and was the fastest female runner out of all classifications in Georgia. Lowen finished about three minutes head of the second-place girls runner in Class A, D-II and was over 30 seconds ahead of Class 6A's fastest female. Lowen finished only 12 seconds behind the men's state champion in Class A, D-II. Congratulations to Averi Lowen on a truly remarkable achievement!
