Today was a Future Focused Friday at Bowdon Elementary School as students got a chance to engage with and learn from local farmers. Among the pigs, cows, turkeys and other animals were veterinarians, beekeepers, and other experts who helped the students understand careers that center on agriculture. Carroll County Schools has award-winning agriculture education programs across the county, and introducing younger students to the vital role agriculture plays in our local economy is one way our schools encourage students to think about their future, set goals and plan to achieve them. Thank you to the many volunteers who invested their time today in these students!
