Programs To Meet The Needs Of All Learners

The elementary instructional program for Carroll County Schools serves children in grades PK-5. Elementary grades are housed at eleven community school sites as follows:

  • Bowdon Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Central Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Ithica Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Mt. Zion Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Roopville Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Sand Hill Elementary School - Grades K - 5
  • Sharp Creek Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Temple Elementary School - Grades PreK - 4
  • Glanton-Hindsman Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Villa Rica Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5
  • Whitesburg Elementary School - Grades PreK - 5

The elementary instructional program focuses on meeting the unique needs of young children. Instructional activities are designed to provide opportunities for students to actively participate in their learning. The elementary curriculum includes an integrated, skill-based language arts program (reading, writing, spelling, and English / language), math, science, social studies, health, physical education and fine arts.
